Life sometimes feels overwhelming, confusing, frightening, and a lonely place to be, where you may feel anxious, depressed, conflicted, or even stuck.
I am here to help you work through what's no longer serving you with the aim of bringing a sense of clarity and peace into your life.

Does a problem feel frustrating or unmanageable?
Perhaps you're feeling low, alone, or at a loss in your life.
Are emotions or anxiety causing you distress, and you feel like they are stopping you from doing what you want to do?
Do discussions or different views become more like arguments in your relationships at work or home?
Is your head so full of thoughts that it's difficult to make sense of it all?
"Stania’s professionalism and empathy provide a comfortable environment for open communication. She has helped me better understand my emotions and her guidance has equipped me with invaluable tools to better manage various aspects of my life. I now feel more positive about moving forward in my life and it is reassuring to know that she is there if I ever need additional support in the future."

Building an open and honest relationship and trust between us.
At the heart of my work, I consider the strength of our working relationship as critical to achieving the best possible outcome for your success. I believe you have worth and value with the capacity to think and make your own decisions to shape and continue to reshape your own life.
I feel that it is important to have both excellent qualifications and a range of life experiences. Anchored in Transactional Analysis theory, I blend various tools, techniques, and strategies that are tailored to suit your needs.
Many issues can be a result of the unique combination of our cultures and experiences. You may be unaware of how these influence and impact your life today. Together, we can work to explore and understand how you want to live your life differently in the future, break unwanted patterns, and invite awareness, intimacy, and spontaneity.
When you're ready and at your own pace, we can work through problems and issues you are facing together, with the aim of empowering you to live the life you want to the full.

People come to me for help a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that I have supported through counselling:
Anxiety - Panic Attacks - Trauma
"It's as if I now have permsission to drop the baggage and not to have to carry it around with me. Then and there felt hopeless, here and now I can come out of the cave and come out into the light and be me. Knowing anexperiencing it with you, I can reflect without fear of overwhelm and hace self respect."
Mrs L - Kent
Relationship Difficulties
"I wanted to thank you for helping so much, it has helped us both and probably saved our marriage
and friendship."
Mrs M - Kent 2023
Unwanted / Addictive Behaviours.
"I now hear a new voice come in saying that I don't have to listen to the addiction voice, and now I can turn it off. I can manage the ride from the inside, inviting vulnerability, fun, being flirty, and being serious. I care more about myself because I care less about everything now. I have a glint in my eye and a genuine, authentic smile."
Mr S - Maidstone
Grief - Loss - Bereavement
"I have been receiving help from Stania for the past year following the sudden death of my son. Stania’s professionalism and empathy provide a comfortable environment for open communication. She has helped me better understand my emotions, and her guidance has equipped me with invaluable tools to better manage various aspects of my life. I now feel more positive about moving forward in my life, and it is reassuring to know that she is there if I ever need additional support in the future."
Lynda, Kent. June 2025
Low Self-Esteem
"I am now able to deal with stressful situations and feel happy in myself to know that it is not dependent on others being happy or me feeling happy all the time. This in turn has helped me set boundaries that respect my values and are independent of others demands and wishes, and still being supportive and respectful."
Katie - Canterbury 2023
Family Life - School Life
"The sessions were very helpful. I had alot of built up frustrations which were addressed by attending the counselling meetings."
Malcolm - Ashford

Initially, we have a no-obligation session where I am happy to address questions you may have regarding how we will work together and what you would like to work toward. It also gives a feel of our working relationship, which may help you decide if you feel we are a good fit – research shows this is important for you to get the best possible therapeutic outcome.
£50 Session time fifty minutes.
Sessions are recommended weekly, on a mutually agreed day & time.
£65 Session time one hour
Sessions are recommended weekly, on a mutually agreed day & time
Full fees are charged for missed or cancelled sessions with less than 2 working days' (Mon - Fri) notice.

I provide face to face sessions for individuals and partners in Harrietsham, near Maidstone, Kent ME17 1GF. Online sessions are also provided for individuals and partners using either MS Teams or WhatsApp platforms
Therapy may help you understand yourself more and find a way to change what isn't working for you in your life in a confidential space at your pace.
Usually, the first session gives us the opportunity to find out what it is you are looking to get out of therapy. It also provides an opportunity to see how we might work together, which might help you decide if I am a good fit for you to work with.
As we build our working relationship, we can look at your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours surrounding the problems you are experiencing. We can explore more effective ways to cope whilst working towards your end goal.
Everyone is different – most people initially come for a series of sessions once a week. We will regularly review and check in to make sure that you are getting what you need to work towards your goals.
Short-term work tends to be 6-8 sessions, medium-term about 18 sessions, while others may want the benefits of long-term work.
It depends on what you are looking to achieve, as well as your availability and budget.
It's up to you if you share and how much, and at the same time, not feeling obligated to tell anyone. Sessions are often profoundly private and personal; you have a choice to share or not, even if someone else is paying for your sessions.
Parking is available in the car park opposite or on the street.
I don’t have a waiting area and respectfully ask you to arrive when your session is due to begin, being mindful of people who may be finishing their session
You can self refer or be referred by your GP.
I only treat private clients and as such there is no NHS funding.
My sessions are by appointment only and available on weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
To book an appointment or find out more, please call 07874069805 or email me.
I provide in-person, telephone or online appointments, to suit your availability and preference.
After a session, creating some quiet downtime for reflection provides an opportunity to decompress and reflect on anything you may have taken away with you from the session, as well as thinking about a focus for what you might like to work on between sessions.
Some people find having a journal is useful to be able to take note of any thoughts, feelings, reflections, and things they might like to bring to therapy to work through and understand.
I like to know if something is not working for you in our sessions, as I can then make adjustments early to gain the best possible outcome at the end of therapy for you.
I aim to work with you at your time and your pace.
